Development Update July

As Deathsworn already mentioned here: https://www.vengeancewow.com/f/news-announcements-f2/topic2633.html we are really hard at work, even though the communication was somewhat lacking. I am going to try to outline the reasons why and what we are working on in more detail since it time to come out o...

Recruitment of Developers

Hello everyone, The immense scale of wow emulation means, that we are always actively looking for new developers and people who are willing to help. What we need: We currently need any sort of moderately skilled SQL or C++ developer, who is willing to learn the ropes of developing blizzlike content....

Development update

Hello everyone, It has been a while since we did one of these, but I felt it was about time to inform everyone what is going on, where we are heading and what you can expect in the near future. First of all, lets start with the most important one. We will be launching SSC Hydross nad Lurker very soo...

Re: Level Cap

I can implement it using XP Boost in 20 minutes. The question is why you would want to do it. Even though our vanilla world is best among TBC servers, its far from Nost/Kronos quality I am afraid. We mostly optimize leveling, without paying too much attention to lvl 60 Endgame (only MC/Onyxia are ki...

Re: Netherwing drake mounts

Because the Netherwing faction is not officially released and only available to WH players. This will be rectified in the future, as some parts need a revision and all stuff we release needs to be manually rechecked to meet our standards. Its lvl 80 so that ST people are less disadvantaged.

LOS/Pathfinding improvements

Hello everyone, As I am sure you all are aware, Nostalrius core was leaked recently. Laizerox has been busy looking at the differences in LOS/Pathfinding and is confident he will be able to implement these improvements very soon for both VoA and Open source once its thoroughly tested. What is curiou...

Re: SSC soon? release date?

SSC was delayed because of Devildog4355 having unforeseen complications irl. He is the person behind TK trash being what it is now (he redid it all by himself). MantisLord starting with yesterday will help with SSC trash redo, meaning we will give update soon.

Re: Progression discussion

Its not about caring about sticking to blizzlike release schedule. Its about releasing content thats on some level of quality. i.e. if the given content, lets say netherwing, needs cleaning up, then it means it will take time before that content is released.

Re: Progression discussion

Okay, so lemme sum this up: NOPE. So my suggested way of going forward is the following: Stuff that belongs to 2.0.3 will no longer be changed, and in the future if we hit next patch, we will have a grace period where we remove missed things (lets say 2-3 weeks after given patch release). Only excep...
